Joshua J. Goldstein
Josh began his career in law working on complex securities and derivatives transactions as an associate at large international law firms (Morrison & Foerster, McKee Nelson and Ashurst) and at a swiss investment bank. Through a fortuitous introduction, he discovered the gratification that comes with working with individuals and families, and he reoriented his career to focus on the more personal connection available through the practice of Trusts & Estates.
Josh is a magna cum laude (top 5% of the class) graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where he was an Acquisitions Editor of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal, a Heyman Scholar and Order of the Coif. He holds a bachelor of arts from Duke University with a dual degree in Economics and Public Policy Studies. He is an avid college basketball fan, theater goer and never misses a Brooklyn Open Studios event.

Sharon Mauer
Sharon Mauer’s practice focuses on corporate law matters, and estate planning and administration.
Ms. Mauer provides advice and solutions for emerging and established companies, entrepreneurs, private investment funds and executives in a broad range of corporate transactions, such as contracts, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, corporate policies and procedures and general business and succession counseling. Ms. Mauer also advises clients on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, licensing and protection.
She handles broad aspects of estate planning, such as wills, trusts, probate and administration of estates, life insurance, asset preservation, powers of attorney and health care proxies.
Prior to founding Goldstein Mauer, Ms. Mauer was general counsel of a renewable energy company, taking it from a start-up through the IPO registration process, and general counsel of a healthcare company. Additionally, she was vice president and corporate counsel to an NYSE listed real estate investment trust. She also worked as a Partner at Zahn Law Group, and an associate in the law firms of Abrams Garfinkel, Margolis and Bergson, Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal LLP (now known as SNR Denton) and King & Spalding LLP.
